Hello, my name is Anna. I am 41 and live in Torquay with my two little boys, one in primary school and one who has just started secondary school this term. We also have a bonkers chocolate Labrador called Bonzo! Like Karina, I too love wild swimming and dip in the sea most mornings and have just started venturing into more head down swim journeys (almost always and rather importantly complemented with a cuppa and a natter with friends after). I am a firm believer in the therapy that nature brings whether that is in green or blue spaces and often find myself and my boys outside amongst it all. Now, as an integrative counsellor, I like to incorporate this into therapy if appropriate within our therapeutic relationship. My background has been working with children and adults in the outdoors as an instructor in a variety of pursuits, including climbing and kayaking which I still enjoy as personal sports. Being naturally compassionate and empathetic, this led to working in schools with children with additional needs as a P.E teacher, SEN LSA and house parent with my main focus on nurture, building self esteem, resilience and motivation. Other interests of mine are any arts and crafts and nearly everything involving yarn and buttons!
